About This Presentation

The presence or absence of three receptors, Estrogen (ER), Progesterone (PR) and Her-2/Neu, can direct treatment protocols. What does it mean to have ER/PR+ breast cancer? What does it mean to have Her-2/Neu- breast cancer? How do treatments differ? Join us for an enlightening presentation on this important topic. Dr. Nayana R. Kamath of Wilmot Cancer Institute-Batavia will be our guest speaker.

About Nayana R. Kamath, M.D.

Dr. Kamath is the presenter at the Breast Cancer Coalition evening educational seminar in BataviaDr. Kamath graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Molecular Biology in 2005. She was awarded the University Honors Scholar Distinction for publishing an Honors thesis for her undergraduate research in cell signal transduction pathways.

Dr. Kamath attended Medical School at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine where she participated in breast cancer research. After Medical School, Dr. Kamath came to Rochester, NY in 2009 to complete her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012. She also completed an oncology fellowship at the University of Rochester in 2014. Dr. Kamath is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board eligible in Medical Oncology.
