My journey with invasive lobular carcinoma began with a diagnosis in late December 2024. In January 2025, still grappling with the news and filled with fear, I attended the Breast Cancer Coalition’s 101 chat. The memory of Christina and Yvonne embracing me, and their sheer compassion, generosity, and understanding, remains incredibly vivid. As inspiring cancer survivors, they immediately showed me that hope existed, even in my darkest moment.
I am profoundly grateful to the Coalition for the extensive support they’ve provided during this incredibly challenging time. The newly diagnosed group was a lifeline, offering essential guidance when I felt most lost. The “Surviving and Thriving on Aromatase Inhibitors” course equipped me with the vital knowledge to navigate my treatment. And Yvonne, my dear “pal,” provided invaluable compassion, checking on me during the most difficult phases. The camaraderie and shared experiences with other survivors at the Coalition have consistently renewed my hope.
Thank you so much, Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester!
