Alison is an active marathon runner, triathlete, hiker, carver, and amateur orchestral horn player. Since “cancer year 2006,” she’s completed twelve marathons and ten triathlons. She recently joined Naiades Oncology Rowing, something she’s always wanted to try. Two of her biggest self-imposed post-cancer challenges were joining “Journeys of Inspiration” and summiting Tanzania’s 19,340 ft. Mount Kilimanjaro in March 2008 and hiking Nepal’s Everest Valley and Base Camp region in 2010. Alison has won awards for her carvings in Rochester, NY as well as the Ward World Wildfowl Carving Championships in Salisbury, MD. She has donated several carvings to the Coalition’s annual Artrageous events.
Alison is grateful to the Coalition and its members for all the great work they do and support they provide.
