Boy, am I blessed! I was diagnosed first in 2000 with DCIS, and with the help of my “angel niece,” Terri, I found a wonderful surgeon who ripped that tumor/breast right out of my body!! Cancer visited me three more times in the ensuing eight years, during which time I lost one “angel” and gained another “angel niece,” Debbie. Debbie and I have gone through chemo, some very unpleasant tests and exams, but you know what? I love ‘em, ‘cause I’m alive and well!
I have also become an active member of the “brown bag” group at BCCR where we minister, listen and laugh with others who have joined this club of survivors. How good can life be? I walk, swim, kayak, garden, knit and best of all, play with my fourteen grandchildren. God is good! I am so thankful for my many blessings!
