“Lives Touched, Lives Changed”

Jan S.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 1992. I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in January of 2012.

Who can believe that my breast cancer is back after 19 years! I thought I was home free after the first 5 years. The lumpectomy and radiation were successful.

During those 19 years my 3 children graduated from college, I ran a business and my husband and I traveled the US and Europe. I now have 2 sons in laws and a daughter in law, and 4 grandchildren. (All beautiful of course!)

Am I fortunate in so many ways? Yes, but for this disease that affects so many, I never in my wildest dreams thought that cancer would rear its ugly head again.
